Here I would introduce some of my tunings I developed for my muisc in the last 18 years:

6 string tunings
These two tunings are the result of a 18 years of experiments on my 16 string guitars in spite of that now they are used on my single 6 string guitars. I wanted to have such tuning which based on the standard tuning and I do not have to learn hundreds of chords again that I frequently use. As I also play on normal 650 mm scale 6 string acoustic guitars I wanted to change the voicing of the chords I play. The result can be seen here. It looks strange at the first sight. The 3. and 4. strings are one octave higher than on a standard tuning/stringing. To get the optimal result I removed the wounding from the the two bass strings on an appriximately 25 mm long part at the sadle. In this way I got much better sustain and the strings keep their brightness much longer. I also used some compensation for the lowest strings at the nut and also at the sadle. I have been using these tunings since 2001 with great results.

With this tuning the guitar sounds in the baritone range, with a normal 650 mm scale guitar but it can also be used on a real baritone guitar with 700-730 mm scale.
